Adolescent Intensive and Stabilization Manager
Kurt received an Associate of Arts degree from North Idaho College and then continued on to the University of Idaho, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. While working towards his degree, Kurt served as a substitute teacher at the local high school and also as coach to the baseball and wrestling teams.
Soon after obtaining his degree in education, Kurt accepted a teaching position that gave him experience working in behavioral health at Kootenai Behavioral Health Center. After some time, Kurt accepted a position in the public schooling system and worked as a health teacher, speech and debate teacher and head coach of both baseball and wrestling teams. After some years of teaching and coaching, Kurt and his family returned to Coeur d’Alene, where he resumed working at Kootenai Behavioral Health Center as a recreational therapist. It was there that he first heard of Innercept and began working part time in 2010. Kurt is now full time at Innercept and serves as manager of our Stabilization Services, where he oversees the safety and well-being of our residents throughout the stabilization process.
In his free time Kurt enjoys spending quality time with his three children and is an avid outdoorsman.
