Clinical Coordinator, Mentoring
Peggy was born and raised in Northern California and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from California State University Sacramento. She moved to Idaho in 2013 to complete an internship at Catholic Charities in Spokane and earn her Masters’ degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. She is a Nationally Certified Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor. As a member of the Innercept Staff, she has performed roles as milieu support, mentor and group therapy facilitator with adolescents and young adults.
Before coming to Innercept, Peggy worked in private practice as a counselor and as a community-based rehabilitative specialist. She has had much life experience working in interesting jobs that utilized her people skills, including over twenty years as a birth certificate clerk at a hospital that delivered more than 500 babies a month. Peggy finds the greatest satisfaction from working with adolescents and young adults and is thrilled to be a part of the mentoring and therapy programs at Innercept.
Peggy and her husband enjoy spending time exploring scenic locations in Idaho and discovering quaint new restaurants. In her spare time Peggy also enjoys spending time with her five dogs, reading books that will further her knowledge and education about the mental health field, and attempting to learn crafts that she can share with the students at Innercept.
